Your information

Privacy policy

This policy describes how ProjectUnknown handles information in Waddle Survival and on this website. Android package: com.projectunknown.waddlerush. Privacy contact: help.projectunknown.team@gmail.com.

1. Game progress on your device

The game stores best scores, run statistics, fish and outfit progress, equipped cosmetics, settings, tutorial flags, the completed-run advertising counter and the No Ads entitlement on your device. Ranking retry records include a hashed platform-player identifier, game-rule version, best score waiting to be sent. This distinguishes accounts and retries failed submissions without a developer gameplay server.

We do not require a developer account, offer chat or operate a full-save cloud service. Platform sign-in, submitted scores and store purchases are separate from the local save. Device backups may contain local records. Removing local data does not remove provider records or OS backups.

2. Advertising and consent

The mobile release uses Google AdMob and Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP). Depending on platform and applicable choices, Google’s SDKs may process IP-derived approximate location, device or advertising identifiers, app and ad interactions, and diagnostic or performance data to provide and measure ads and prevent fraud.

The app refreshes consent information and requests ads only when the consent SDK permits. Where required, you can revisit privacy options in Settings. Device advertising controls offer additional choices. Turning off personalised ads does not stop every form of ad-related processing.

Read the Google Privacy Policy and Google’s partner data notice for Google’s purposes, controls, retention and data handling. Advertising services may process data outside your country. We do not operate a separate game analytics service. Development builds and the Mac preview do not initialise AdMob.

3. Leaderboards

If you choose to sign in, iOS Game Center or Android Google Play Games handles authentication, player identifiers, nickname, profile and scores. The app submits eligible completed-run scores. Visibility to other players follows the platform’s settings. We do not receive your password. Manage your profile and published records with Apple or Google: Game Center & Privacy; Google Privacy Policy.

Online friend duels (version 1.1.0)

When you choose to create or join an online room, Epic Online Services (EOS) creates or uses a pseudonymous device credential and product user identifier. EOS processes these identifiers, IP addresses and connection information, lobby membership and an invitation code to connect the two players. No Epic account sign-in, contacts, chat or voice chat is required.

The host device runs the match. The players exchange their equipped cosmetic item identifiers, controls, positions, snowballs, fish and match results. Your opponent sees your equipped outfit. Connections use direct peer-to-peer networking where possible, so the other peer can receive your network address; an EOS relay forwards game packets when a direct connection cannot be established. The full local save and clothing collection are not uploaded.

This processing supports the optional multiplayer feature and connection security, not advertising personalization. You can play single-player without using EOS multiplayer. EOS records are not deleted merely by closing a room or uninstalling the app; contact our support address for help with access or deletion requests. Provider retention and international processing are governed by the applicable service terms. See Epic Online Services’ data handling statement and Epic’s privacy policy.

4. Store purchases and Unity IAP

The optional one-time No Ads purchase uses Unity In-App Purchasing (IAP) and Apple’s App Store or Google Play. The app processes product, transaction, receipt and entitlement information to fulfil or restore a purchase. The store handles payment details; we do not collect card or bank details on a developer server.

Unity IAP 5.4 documentation describes processing including installation identifiers, device, session and country information, and authentication identifiers where used, to operate and secure its purchase services. The exact processing depends on platform and enabled features. These games do not add a Unity Analytics or Unity Authentication account flow or use Unity’s direct-to-consumer web checkout. See Unity IAP privacy information and Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.

Apple, Google and Unity manage their respective transaction or service records and retention. Removing the app or buying No Ads does not delete earlier provider records or disable purchase-service processing. Manage billing and refunds through the store; contact support for help routing a data request.

5. Information you send to support

If you email help.projectunknown.team@gmail.com, we receive your email address, any name included in the message, and the text or attachments you choose to send. We use these to answer your request, investigate the reported issue and manage necessary follow-up. Support uses Gmail, provided by Google; its processing is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

You choose whether to contact us and what to include. Do not send passwords, payment information, identity documents or unrelated sensitive information.

6. This website

The pages do not include advertising, analytics scripts, third-party fonts, embedded video, cookies or local-storage tracking added by us. Opening an email link uses your email application; it does not submit a web form.

GitHub Pages hosts this site. GitHub may process IP addresses and request or device information to deliver and secure its services. See the GitHub Privacy Statement. External links take you to services with their own policies.

7. Retention and deletion

Support messages and attachments are kept only as long as needed to resolve the request and necessary follow-up, meet legal obligations, or handle a dispute. They are deleted when those purposes no longer apply.

Local game data can be removed through your device’s app-storage controls, where available, or by removing the app. This does not necessarily remove operating-system backups. You can manage those using your backup provider’s tools.

Google controls retention of data processed by its advertising services; we cannot erase those records directly from your phone or from a game account that does not exist. Use Google’s linked policy and privacy controls, or contact us for help identifying the appropriate route.

Store transactions and platform rankings remain subject to Apple or Google’s controls. Unity purchase-service records follow Unity’s policy and data-request process. Contact us if you need help locating the relevant provider or making a request for information we control.

8. Recipients and international processing

Providers include Google for ads, consent, Play Games, store purchases and support email; Apple for Game Center and store purchases; Unity for IAP; Epic for optional online friend duels; and GitHub for hosting this website. We do not publish support emails or sell local saves. Information may also be disclosed when legally required or necessary for security or a legal claim.

Providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Their policies describe applicable transfers and safeguards: Google Privacy Policy, Apple, Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy, GitHub.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or receive a copy of information. To ask about information we handle, email help.projectunknown.team@gmail.com. We may need limited information to verify that the request concerns you. Withdrawing consent does not undo processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, support processing is based on responding to your request and our legitimate interest in providing assistance, or compliance with applicable legal obligations. Optional processing that requires consent relies on that consent. Google’s legal bases are explained in its own policy. You may also contact your local data-protection authority.

10. Children and young players

Waddle Survival is intended for ages 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. This is the intended audience, not an age-verification feature or a store content rating. Younger players may need permission from a parent or guardian under local law.

If you believe a child has sent us personal information in a support request, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it. Regional age-of-consent requirements and protections for minors still apply.

11. Security

We aim to limit access to support information to people who need it to handle your request and to use appropriate account safeguards. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Protect access to your device and avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.

12. Changes and contact

We update the date on this page when the policy changes. Material changes will be communicated through appropriate available channels before they apply where required by law.
